SWITLO project from the British Council and I, @Nataliia Shuminska, welcome you in this TAG!
I am very glad to know that you have joined the professional community of teaching practice in Korostyshiv.
The aim of the project is to build a strong professional community of practice through interaction and reflection and design your own CPD programme (continuing professional development) based on your needs.
It is based on the **Teacher Activity Groups** (TAGs), where teachers learn from each other. This approach offers you professional development via regular meetings, sharing experiences, supporting each other and working together to find practical solutions to challenges you are facing in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The TAG meetings will help you gain confidence, motivation, enthusiasm and inspiration to develop professionally.
The topics of professional development sessions are chosen according to your needs and desires.
The TAG meetings will help you practically apply new ideas you come up with during professional development sessions in your classroom.
You are supposed to meet once a month for facilitator-led professional development sessions. It is up to you to choose the convenient date and the time.
There are different delivery modes for TAG meetings: online, face to face, hybrid. The face to face meetings are held in Korostyshiv Teachers’ Training College after 3 pm.
The number of participants in a TAG is supposed to be up to 12 people. It’s not mandatory to attend all the TAG meetings. If you are a regular attendee though, you are given an opportunity to join a valuable online course for CPD from the British Council for free.
You are not required to do any preparatory work before the TAG meetings.
The facilitator of a TAG in Korostyshiv is Nataliia Shuminska, a teacher of English at Teachers’ Training College.
The language we speak at TAG sessions is English.
